“Women’s Gardener Bear” was inspired by Dr. Behr’s wife, Diana, while she was helping him with some pruning in the garden. Diana and Dr. Behr have been gardening together for over almost 40 years. She is the authority and caretaker for all things floriferous. He oversees the health and maintenance of the trees. This includes a collection of over 250 types of Japanese maples and an additional 250 varieties of ornamental trees and dwarf specimen conifers all cozily tucked into a one acre yard.
